HOW TO STYLE A HALTER NECK DRESS

Hello Lovelies and welcome to another blog post! In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I’d like to wish everyone a wonderful celebration, whether that’s with loved ones and friends, or enjoying some quality time with yourself.

Moving on to today’s outfit I’m excited to share with you this stunning halterneck dress. I discovered the design on Tiktok and decided to have it custom-made by my tailor. After a minor adjustment, the dress fits perfectly, and I’m thrilled with the result.

Halter neck dresses are a summer wardrobe staple, but sometimes they can feel a bit basic. However, with a few clever styling tricks, you can take your halter neck dress from simple to stunning. Nostalgia hit me hard when I put on this halter dress, reminiscent of the dresses I used to wear during my teenage years. Looking back, I'm not sure why I ever stopped wearing them! As for this dress, I can confidently say that the photos don’t do it justice- it’s even more stunning in person.

Anyway, enough of me raving about this dress, let’s discuss why we are here.

Listed below are ways we can rock a Halter neck dress

Accessorize wisely – Add a statement necklace or earrings to draw attention away from the halter neck and create a more polished look. Avoid over-accessorizing (see how I styled mine), as this can make the outfit feel cluttered.

Experiment with Fabrics – Do not be afraid to mix and match different textures and fabrics. For example I used two different types of material, not sure what the names are called, probably two different types of cotton.

Play with proportions – Pair your halter neck dress with a pair of heeled ankle boots or wedges to create a lengthening effect. This is especially flattering with midi halter neck dresses, as it gives a more defined silhouette.

Belt it – Clinch your waist with a belt to create a more defined silhouette. This works especially well with flowy, maxi halter neck dresses.

Add a pop of color- Inject some personality into your outfit with a brightly colored handbag, shoes, or scarf. This is a great way to add some visual interest to a simple halter-neck dress.

Try a scarf - Use a scarf as a hair tie, belt, or even a makeshift shawl. This adds a bohemian touch to your outfit.

Own it! - Confidence is key when it comes to pulling off a halter neck dress. Own your look, and don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things.

With these styling tips, you'll be well on your way to making the most of your halter neck dress.

  20. ¡¡Hola Benita!! Besitos.

    1. Hi Isabel, the fabric I used for the bottom gave it a lot of volume, it is quite heavy. There are some halter neck dresses that are flowy, I believe are worn during the summer. Who doesn't love a dress with pockets, another idea for my next outfit. Thanks for stopping by.
